Do I have to sign a long-term contract?

No — we don’t believe in locking families into long-term contracts. But to keep pods running smoothly and ensure consistency for both families and Coordinators, we do ask for a minimum 3-month commitment.

That said, life happens — and if something comes up, we’ll do our best to work with you.

What does a HEN Den Coordinator do?

We help with the daily household tasks that pile up — laundry folding, dishes, light cleaning, fridge resets, toy cleanup, snack/lunch prep, and more. You choose what’s most helpful each visit.

Do you offer child care or babysitting?

No. HEN Den focuses on supporting the home — not supervising children. Our service is designed to reduce your load so you can be more present with your family.

Is deep cleaning included?

Deep cleaning (floors, bathtubs, full scrub-downs) isn’t included in the monthly membership. However, we offer seasonal deep clean add-ons by request.

Do you do outdoor work like gardening or lawn care?

Not at this time. We focus exclusively on interior household support.

Do you cook meals?

We don’t cook onsite, but we do help with light meal prep — chopping vegetables, assembling snacks, or prepping school lunches.

What cleaning products do you use?

We use Mint Cleaning products from Ucluelet — safe, non-toxic, and locally made. We’re proud to support fellow Vancouver Island businesses that share our values.

What if my Coordinator is sick or away?

We provide trained backup support when needed — so you won’t miss a visit. All Coordinators follow Cedar House standards and receive screening and onboarding.

Who are your Coordinators?

Our Coordinators are carefully selected for their reliability, care, and professionalism. Every team member completes a criminal record check, reference check, and HEN Den training.
